Re: LEGO Gortons' Fisherman, coming to a supermarket near you

LEGO Gortons' Fisherman, coming to a supermarket near you

Hi, everybody! For the past 3 months, I've been working with folks from (URL) Seafood> on a sculpture of the Gortons' Fisherman (as seen in (URL) logo>.) Alone, he's not such a big model -- but I was asked to build EIGHT of them! (3 URLs) See photos (...)   Re: Larger sized human sculpture

(...) This is a great sculpture, a very nice follow up to the piece you brought to brickfest. Is this the final form, or a proof of concept for yet another piece? I'm curious about the yellow- how did you decide on that? I can visualize several of (...) (19 years ago, 5-Feb-06, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

  Re: Larger sized human sculpture

(...) I look at this work and see a great creation built with my favorite bricks and I appreciate the effort it took to build.   Re: Using Poser6 to generate Lego sculptures.

(...) At the recent BrickFest, there was a discussion of a few artsy-fartsy types at Rocklands over a good bit of good beer about "Art and LEGO" and whether it existed -or whether it was just translation of existing work into a new medium. You are (...) (19 years ago, 4-Feb-06, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

  Larger sized human sculpture

It was time to build something from a (URL) Poser> figure. In the past I had done the plans first, then ordered the pieces, then built. This time I decided to try to build using only the pieces that I already owned. This meant doing a complete sort (...)   studs-up globes of radius 15-48

Well, I still had the map of the world lying around, and I had a studs-up sphere generator. Why not be thorough? Step-by-step plans of globes of the world of radius 15-48. (Below radius 15 the land masses didn't show up well.) Brickshelf gallery (...) (19 years ago, 31-Jan-06, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

  Re: LEGO Infinity

(...) The smallest pieces are actual ABS granules. They will go through life without the joy of being melted and molded into a LEGO brick. The same effect could be achieved by cutting a small plate or brick, but I don't recommend that. (19 years ago, 31-Jan-06, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

  Re: LEGO Infinity

(...) Edit: Except they seem way too small, even for Modulex. Perhaps they're carved from larger bricks. (19 years ago, 30-Jan-06, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)
