This solution is satisfactory and opens quite well but I cant help but feel
that a better solutions should exist employing only one set of droid arms. As
such Im asking all the SNOT masters on Lugnet to try to find a better
solution, preferably using only one set of droid arms. Hopefully someone will
come up with something good. I feel that one plates height (8LDU) can be
taken from the door and it will still look OK (in fact the gap might look
quite good).

I saw doors, on somebodys bus MOC a while ago, that opened using only one droid
arm and thought they were cool. So I added them to one of James Mathiss Club
Trolleys that I had built. It took me about an hour to add four opening doors.
Everything fit on first try.

Of course there is a slot in the wall for the arm, but I think it looks and
works pretty good.

| --SNIP-- (...) --SNIP-- (...) Thanks for posting this. I saw it on BS and was wondering if it was posted in response to my query. It's a nice solution and should work for double doors when the space can be left free. Tim (19 years ago, 16-Nov-05, to lugnet.build.schleim, FTX)
