I am planning a mosaic and have parts in 6 colors (an equal number of 1x1 squares in each color). I'm trying to convert my source image (using Photoshop) into my 6 color in such a way that the source image contains an equal number of pixels of each (...) Here's a technique I've been cooking for a while. I chose the CSF banner as inspiration for my first design in order to start with something at least somewhat recognizable. Using the (URL) PicToBrick> program, I have made a (URL) studs-out mosaic> of the Chicago Bears NFL logo. Once I had downloaded PicToBrick (and enough auxilliary components to get it to run), I had a lot of fun running random pictures through to see (...) Yes, very neat programming! I tried to make a quick and dirty mosaic and it came out alright, but if I want to convert a picture, I'd want all the colors that are in the original. is there some tool to 'grap' the map of a jpg or gif? and then, what (...) This was made as a gift for my sister and my brother-in-law :-) Since Seahorses were their wedding theme, they're pretty happy that I made this for them. :-) (...)
