  Re: Women's Team -- set 3416

(...) Forgive my ignorance, but is this set a Shop@Home exclusive type set or will it be available in the Wal*Mart/Target/Toys R Us type retail stores? Any clue as to a date it'll be available if it's being sent to the retail stores? ~Nathan (23 years ago, 13-May-01, to lugnet.sports, lugnet.year.2001, lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Massive Update: Character Bios

Hello all, I just finished updating my website, adding over 75 (yes, 75!) character biographies, as well as adding a structures page, which, while very thin at the moment, will soon showcase all my major structures in great detail. Also added was a (...) (23 years ago, 26-Apr-01, to lugnet.castle.org.cw, lugnet.castle, lugnet.build.minifigs) !!

The womens team is now available at LLC. I don't recall the price, but it might be like $10. (...) (23 years ago, 23-Apr-01, to lugnet.sports, lugnet.year.2001, lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: Different/exchanged heads

I exchange heads all the time. In the interests of equal opportunity, I like to have lots of female minifigs, so I am always interested in acquiring more female heads which I can put onto the torsos. I am using the Star Wars minifigs in castle (...) (23 years ago, 12-Apr-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs, lugnet.pirates)

I don't think TLC has ever made a wheelchair piece (I could be wrong), but I bet you could make one-- I was thinking: (URL) (front wheels) (URL) (back wheels) (URL) (front base) (URL) (back base) make the chair 2x3 with a nice little backing (...)   Wheelchairs?

Are there any sets that offer wheelchairs for minifigs? I'm asking this because for some weird reason the whole 'Alpha Team' theme has primed my creative pump, and I wanna put together what I imagine to be the ATs 'ground crew' i.e. the folks behind (...) (...) You can get some very basic information of Jojo's fantastic creations at his Brickshelf gallery: (URL) if interest "grows", I would be glad to do some basic translating. "Germinate" well, Andreas Stabno (URL) (23 years ago, 6-Apr-01, to lugnet.pirates, lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: Custom Pirate Fig site

(...) These customised minifigs were made by the German AFOL Jojo -well known to frequent visitors of 1000steine.de. He stated that the hats were made out of paper and the vests are made of cloth. And yes, Bruce, you did leave out a letter :-) (...) (23 years ago, 5-Apr-01, to lugnet.pirates, lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: Custom Pirate Fig site

(...) Look carefully at the edge of some of the coats - very thin. Probably paper or some kind of material. Others possibly could be plastic "clay" (Sculpey and the like). I'd guess a variety of techniques, but the picture quality and size is not (...) (23 years ago, 5-Apr-01, to lugnet.pirates, lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: Erasing minifigs

(...) Toothpaste seems to work also. Supposedly Tarter Control Toothpaste has more abrasive in it so it works better, I still have some work to finish one the one soccer fig I am removing the '1' from the back of.   Re: Custom Pirate Fig site

Thanks for pointing those out Bruce. Some of the hats and vests had the same "shine" as the ABS. Do you think the creator did some plastic molding type of work? Those are some pretty incredible designs. Markus (...) (23 years ago, 5-Apr-01, to lugnet.pirates, lugnet.build.minifigs)

Re: Check out the Womans team for Soccer!!! #3416

(...) Mel, I thought the purpose of 2870s was to even up the female/male ratio. Though being brunettes, the China comment would still apply. (23 years ago, 2-Apr-01, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.build.minifigs)
