And we actually met online on one of the EQ MUSHes. :)

Wow! that's great.

I really like the first 4 novels, up until the Seige of Blue Mountain series...
then things just started getting almost too... odd.. for me to follow. Maybe if
I took the time to read more closely I'd understand, but the first 4 novels
will always be my fav's. :)

That's funny. After seeing your first post, I was struck by idea that (now
there's this WWW thing) there may be an ElfQuest website. Well, it sure was easy
to find it. Once there I felt in a flashback. I can't believe it's been 20
years.

When I saw more than the 4 novels, I was surprised. I had thought "that was
it" when 4 ended. I just wanted the movie to be made. I must have gone into high
school around then.

Despite curiosity, I almost don't want to look at the books past 4.

You must tell more. which characters? how you made them. Did you build wolves?

[snip fig descriptions]

you sure have a good memory. and those figures sound pretty super.

For Clearbrook (one of my favorite characters, not that I can really say
why. She was just always cool to me), I used the green 'pirate babe' top
from the Forester's river crossing with brown hair.

Those are all I can think of for the moment. I plan to revisit these when my
castle building gets back underway. As you mentioned, the Starwars torso's,
hair, and heads will make nice updates to doing this genre.

Skywise was a fav of mine. It would be hard to model him (white hair). Nightfall
was cool too. She was a lot like my D&D character at the time.

As for Wolves, no, I didn't have the ambition to try it, though I might next
time. I actually used the wolf that came with one of my old G.I. Joe figures
from the 80's. It was about arm high on them.. and seemed almost the right
scale going by the sizes of the wolves in the GN's. :)

Hope that made some sense. :)

Yes, thanks for sharing.

(oh, and congrats on the upcoming wedding!!)

:-)

thanks.

(...) hehe. I think so. :) (...) The thing that makes me feel old is that I remember when I first came across the GN's.. I was in 1st grade which was like '78/79 I think. oi. The movie has started and stopped more times than a mass transit bus, (...) (24 years ago, 1-Mar-01, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build.minifigs)

(...) Hehe.. Same here. My wife was more into EQ than I was (she has all the comics and most of the Jinx series as well), but we both enjoy it and have most (all?) of the Graphic novels.. there's so many now, I've lost track. 8..10.. a million....??
