I have often thought about building a MOC of my cube and bringing it in to
display on my little shelf, mostly because of the recent proliferation of tan
and teal.

Sounds nicer than my real-life colour scheme, which I improved upon in the • Lego
version.  Go for it, show us!

Your cubicle seems to have very high walls!  I wish mine did, it would drown
out my officemates more efficiently.

Yup, 8-footers.  They're not bad for sound-baffling but not great.  I'm a
micromanager, which means I'm not important enough to have hard walls but • still
need to have meetings and teleconferences, and so need to find a private room
for that.  I completely forgot to put a phone on my little desk.  Wishful
thinking...

If I put up myself at work, not only would I have the nee for tan walls, I
would need to leave the silly microphone on the minifig!  Ugh.  At least I've
cross-trained enough to have a 6x6x5.5 cubicle instead of the smaller 6x4x5.5
like most of our call center.

I do like working in small scale - it means I can actually finish a
project and it doesn't spend months taking up my precious building space.

Ack!  I know what you mean.  There are things I have wanted to build for
quite a while, but since currently my building area is a small triangle on my
desk
at home, I either have to build vertically or very, very small.  Hopefully
this will change in the coming weeks, though, as I finish Project Perestroika
(that is, cleaning my room) and I can go back to building with my LEGO in • it's most basic state- on the floor.

I spent quite a while building on the floor.  Then I had children... Now THEY
play on the floor while I shuffle things to higher and higher shelves away • from
tiny hands.  Just as well though, floor-play is deadly on the back.

Cheers, Heather

The floor's out of the question with our 70-lbs, four-footed, child of our own.
She loves it when I sit on the floor and wants to sit right next to me, never
mind all those pointy bits she just laid down on.  Luckily, we have a neat,
fold-away table that I use in the living room cause my room never has building
space, no matter how small the project.
