Do we have a name for the new figs? —Tony Hafner
I can't imagine that this hasn't been discussed, but I don't see anything on it. Now that the battle droid bodies are being used for the martians, I expect that they are here to stay. Hence, we need a general name for the whole class of figures. I (...) (24 years ago, 29-Nov-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs, lugnet.year.2001)

Hehe, I personaly like the battle droid "figs" but the legs would be ALOT beter if they wern't attached together... Now the alien figs, that's another story, LEGO could have done better. I'd think they'd look rather robotic with those BD parts, but (...) (24 years ago, 29-Nov-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs, lugnet.year.2001)

(...) Just an FYI, Only the torso and arms are Battle Droid parts. The Legs are actually more organic and bent at the knee. The are still fuzed like the BD lets though.      (...) Yeah. How about: Martians I actually have been meaning to post that after getting all the LoM sets (apart from the big base, which no one seems to have found yet) I quite like the martians, which surprises me, because frankly I expected to (...)          Re: Do we have a name for the new figs? —Tony Hafner
(...) You miss the point. I am talking about a name for the whole class of figs, which would include martians, battle droids, and whatever else Lego comes out with in the future that uses this construction style. (...) I'm OK with the look of the (...) (24 years ago, 29-Nov-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs, lugnet.year.2001)

Re: Do we have a name for the new figs? —Ran Talbott
(...) Well, there's "mikifigs" (partly in honor of the fact that Senor Raton is built in the same, um, mickeymouse fashion). Since we have CRAPPs and POOPs, how 'bout Figs Absent Redeeming Traits? (...) This is more serious for Martians than for (...)          Re: Do we have a name for the new figs? —Tony Hafner
(...) Not bad- FARTs. That could work. Or how about Weak Tiny Figures? (I'm still attached to "suckifigs", though.) (...) Agreed. (...) Good point... but it begs the question: If you really want your aliens to look different then why do they have 2 (...) (24 years ago, 11-Dec-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs, lugnet.year.2001)

(...) How about Wirefigs? They're kinda wiry and umm... stuff. -- I think it'd be funny if someone egged Martha Stewart's house. (23 years ago, 17-Jan-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs, lugnet.year.2001)
