(...) things for very long after they're photographed, and at the time, I was unsure how long it would be until I got a digital camera. I needed a lot of those parts for other stuff. AWESOME, Mark!!! You're ships have to have some of the best engine designs, I love the engines on The Lightin' Jack!!! And it separates too, WOW!!! (...) I've found that "scarring" is generally attributable to one of two things: an insufficiently delicate hand, or an insufficiently sharp blade. I've found that a bit o' Brasso on a Q-Tip works better than an X-Acto knife for removing microphones... not as much scarring. It does get tricky in small spaces, so if you trim down the fuzz on the Q-Tip first, it can help. I used this method on a (...) (24 years ago, 5-Jun-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

(...) hey, jeff ~ i know exactly what you're talking about. ;-) i was able to get some of this same felt, and it's wonderful! i was very impressed with it's durability and color matches to lego. i loaded up on sheets in all the colors, especially, (...) It's getting... so... dark... Especially after I've let paint come near lego... It was grey before, but I'm getting pulled to the dark side! I've now experimented with almost every kind of heresy, except for spray paint (I'll leave that for Craig (...) (24 years ago, 4-Jun-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

Messing around at my local WallyWorld, I discovered a pretty inexpensive option for making capes, without the fraying problem that most normal fabric encounters.
