Hey all,

It doesn't look like Robert Seater posts to Lugnet, so I'll mention this.
Check out Rober Seater's superheroes (some his design, some the X-men):

I really think he's got some clever things here:
The guy breaking through the wall in this pic:

has a very "Hulk smash!" feel to it.  I also really like the guy who can
apparently pass through solid walls.

I really like the knife throwing guy in the front, the way that Robert depicts
the flying knives is pretty cute.
Robert goes on to imply motion in a clever way in this pic:

where the Captain-America-like guy throws his shield and it slices a couple of
baddies in half and pieces go flying.
In the X-men shot:

a few of the figs are really striking, like Cyclops in the old blue and gold
uniform.  Pretty funny how he made the female figs have breasts, as most comic
book women are pretty well-endowed.  The cleverest (IMO), though, is how he
used the red hair over the face with white bangs to do Rogue.

(...) Bruce, Thanks a lot for bringing this to the forefront (although it's been kinda lost in the shuffle now). I saw this the Friday you posted it and went through the galleries you highlighted but I did not have time to respond and I forgot about (...) (22 years ago, 12-May-03, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

(...) ShadowCat (AKA Kitty Pryde) has the ability to pass through solid matter. She has to hold her breath while doing this but like Nightcrawler, who can teleport anyone else he has physical contact with Shadowcat can do the same, but the bigger (...)
