| (...) I have always thought that it was to negate vacuum between the head and the post on the torso, making it easier to remove the head. Although, the choking thing sounds somewhat reasonable too. | I just recived my first old style minifig, the torso and legs are black, and i thing i'll be using it for a statue, the best part is that i also got and older fire fighter, and a police officer, they make up for lost ones. Josh (25 years ago, 13-Jul-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

| (...) FWIW, use a pencil eraser for to remove broader printed areas such as sideburns and larger beards. If you don't trust yourself with a regular pencil eraser, art supply stores can have various kinds that are somewhat smaller and pointed. -Tom (...)
