WWII MOC: Focke Wulf —Geordan Hankinson
Heya'll, here is da first MOC for build.military, the luftwaffe's Focke Wulf. This was built with a skimpy selection of parts due to the number of other creations built at the time, so pardon things that are not accurate. The paint job underneath is (...)         Re: WWII MOC: Focke Wulf —Stuart Immonen
(...) You ARE busy these days... Which FW wer you trying for? The 190? (looks like a 190 ARF but there were dozens of FW craft) I found a b+w pic here: (URL) but it doesn't show off your brilliant colour scheme, which I like very much. It would be (...)          Re: WWII MOC: Focke Wulf —Geordan Hankinson
(...) Thanks Stuart! (...) Very... (...) Yes that would be it, I just mushed all of the dif. MK's into one, (...) And my parts at the time would DEFINITELY not allow that many colours... (...) Sorry, I already broke it down, and those are all of the (...) (23 years ago, 4-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: WWII MOC: Focke Wulf —Shaun Sullivan
(...) Congrats! I assume it will only be the first of many :) (...) *snip* This looks fantastic! At first glance I was afraid that you had beat me to it ... on my current list of projects (both underway and in the planning stages) is an Me Bf 109. (...)          Re: WWII MOC: Focke Wulf —Geordan Hankinson
(...) Thanks Shaun! It is the first of a ton, expect pics of the SM spit within a month (because it is a custom kit, like what MB does, rather than just a MOC) And the p-51 within a few days hopefully, all I need now is a darn A-wing cockpit! (...) (...) (23 years ago, 5-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: WWII MOC: Focke Wulf —Lindsay Frederick Braun
(...) Hey, I'm in even more fear, because I have a Ta-152--the high- altitude mod of the FW-190 design spec--on my list. But it is, of course, a very tentative list; the He 162 and Ba 349 are ahead of it, which gives you an idea of how far there is (...) (23 years ago, 5-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: WWII MOC: Focke Wulf —Shaun Sullivan
(...) Hmm, wish me luck. I saw this two weeks ago at a used bookstore in downtown Portsmouth, but passed it up at the time. I'm fixin' to head back down during my lunch break, with all intentions of snapping it up. Hopefully it's still there ... (...) (23 years ago, 5-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: WWII MOC: Focke Wulf —Larry Pieniazek
(...) Um, the warthog is beautiful ONLY in the way that any "form follows function" design that hits (in this case, NAILS) its design goals is beautiful. It's *not* beautiful the way, say, a Jag E type is. (E types aren't very functional, trust me. (...) (23 years ago, 5-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: WWII MOC: Focke Wulf —Geordan Hankinson
(...) Thanks Lindsay, It is hard to resist, but some planes (like this one) would look goofy with it. (...) I'll have to see if my library has it, I think I've checked out prettymuch all of the WWII aircraft resource books over the past month or so, (...)         Re: WWII MOC: Focke Wulf —Gary E. Blessing
Whoa! beautiful Geordan, absolutely beautiful!! the colors on the underside do look good. I really like how you did the folding landing gear and the cockpit. Keep up the great work!!         Re: WWII MOC: Focke Wulf —Geordan Hankinson
(...) Thanks Gary! I think it's cuz they are so different that make them look good. (...) Thanks again Gary! (...) I'll try! -Geordan- (...) (23 years ago, 5-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.military)
