Thanks Tobbe.  I wanted to do foldable landing gear, but they just weren't
practical, it's too much stuff to pack into such a thin area, especially
considering the requirements of making the wing itself, you need two plates'
thickness just to hold the wing-plates together.  With my Zero, I needed
more than that because I used hinges to create a shallower angle for the
wing shape that you just can't get with the normal pieces.  The hinges
require 3 plates' thickness. Believe me, accurate folding landing gear were
my first thought, but for stability, looks, and overall practicality, this
was the only way I could see to do it.

After I had everything uploaded, I noticed a mistake on my model.  The rear
landing gear is on backwards.  Kind of sucks, but I guess when I last stuck
the gear on I had it turned around.  I don't think it detracts from the
model, but once you're aware of it, it sticks out.  Maybe some day I'll go
back and re-take the pictures.

I still can't figure out how to post to lugnet.announce.moc, at least not
using Outlook express.  Maybe if I use the website to post I could do it.
As for cross posting to .build, I figured since this group is practically
dead, and since I couldn't post to .announce.moc, I hoped more people would
get a chance to see the moc that way.  Sorry to break ettiquite.

Mmmm....Mustang!

Kamikaze-style :)

Thanks and let me know what you think!

As Mattias said, it's the best Mustang I've seen!

Did you try to make the landing gear foldable? It's the only complaint I • have.

BTW, can anyone explain why I don't seem to be able to post to the
lugnet.announce.moc newsgroup?  When I include it the newsgroups to post • to,
I get an error about needing to follow up to another group.  I can't • find
any options to choose which group to follow up to.  I'm using Outlook
Express to post.  Thanks in advance.

There should be a "hidden" field that's named "Follow-up" or similar. You • should
enter "lugnet.build.military" in there so all follow-ups and up there. • This to
avoid making all replies ending up in all groups. I've trimmed the • lugnet.build
group from this message for instance. It's not nice "Lugnetique" to post • in both
.build and .build.subgroup.
