This post is being made to announce the creation of a new newsgroup,
lugnet.build.military.  Until now, the appropriate venue for military
models and miltary discussion (esp. as it pertains to LEGO) has been
somewhat murky, with posts being distributed to such varied groups as
lugnet.build, lugnet.gaming, lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.build.sculpture,
lugnet.boats, lugnet.pirates, etc.  While these groups might be perfectly
reasonable and appropriate for a given post, this new group promises a more
consolidated location for discussions that have a distinctly historical,
nonfictional, or real-world-plausible military theme to them.

The group's charter, which will be available on the .build.military page,
reads:

lugnet.build.military– Military-related building: creations, modeling
ideas and techniques, layouts, settings, characters, plans,
  inspirational materials, historical contexts, etc.

The curator for the group is yours truly; Please feel free to contact me
with any questions or concerns.

A heartfelt thanks to the Lugnet Admin for their assistance ....

Regards,
Shaun Sullivan
