  Re: Anti Air Tank

(...) Wow. What a great use of a very unusual part! Jim, I love the look and feel of this vehicle. It's extremely "G.E.V." (from "Ogre") in its styling, and I love the rounded slopey bits. I third the call for interior shots! Interior shots! Yes! (...) (22 years ago, 21-Apr-03, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Anti Air Tank

(...) Soren, Thanks for the nod on my design. I will try to work on the stubbiness of the rotary cannon in the future. I have a few more ideas to flesh out so we'll see. As for more pics, see my reply to Keith :) Thanks, Jim F. (22 years ago, 20-Apr-03, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Anti Air Tank

(...) Keith, I am happy to hear that dig my tank. Per your request I have added a few more pictures: (URL) you can see this tank is designed to hold 2 minifigs. I will definitely keep you suggestion of adding a smaller cal. gun in the front for my (...) (22 years ago, 20-Apr-03, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Anti Air Tank

I agree with Keith, more pictures! Interior shots especially. This little beauty has some exceptional design elements, such as the half-stud offset over the tracks. Really great rotary cannon assemblies too, although they look a bit stubby due to (...) (22 years ago, 20-Apr-03, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Anti Air Tank

(...) that there are not enough pictures. I would like to see what the back looks like. Does the main body hold minifigs, and if so, how many? My only suggestion would be to add a much smaller gun like a .50 cal near the front. Again, very cool (...) (22 years ago, 20-Apr-03, to lugnet.build.military)

  Anti Air Tank

Hi gang, It's been a while since I posted anything new, so I present my Anti-Air tank: Deep Links: (URL) moderation: (URL) info... The cannons are made with gears that Dacta calls Tacho Wheels. I have only found them in the #7191 UCS X-wing where (...) (22 years ago, 20-Apr-03, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Brickmania Tan Tiger Tank

(...) Hey Greg, Can I ask a question? Where on earth did you find a large quantity of those? Heck, how did you find *any* of those? I'm really curious. best LFB (22 years ago, 15-Apr-03, to lugnet.build.military, lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

  Brickmania Tan Tiger Tank

Hello, I would like to hear from anyone who reserved one of Dan's tan variant Tiger tank sets. I have aquired a large quantity of the 3063 tan 2x2 macaroni bricks needed to complete the set. I am still looking for the four 30165 Brick modified 2x2 (...) (22 years ago, 15-Apr-03, to lugnet.build.military, lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

Re: A really simple technical question

Not sure. But perhaps the nature of it's primary purpose beign indirect fire (self-propelled howitzer) rather than direct fire (tank)? I believe that both type often have some ability in either role... but it is not the designed purpose. This is (...) (22 years ago, 12-Apr-03, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: More USS Duluth Photos

(...) Mmmmm. Finished it looks even better. I've gotta say, now that I can see it more closely, that I'm really intrigued by some of the solutions you've devised for microfig scale warship details. The searchlights are my big favorites, along with (...) (22 years ago, 10-Apr-03, to lugnet.build.military)

  3 new spaceish Mocs!

Hello all, I've got my first "real" space Moc under my belt. I've built space before, but this is my first cool space vehicle or so I think. ;^) I present the HLAATV or "T-24 Boar" (URL) the longest time I've wanted to build a dropship. I've (...)   More USS Duluth Photos

I just added five more now that it's "complete" and with more details added: (URL) no big explanation as I'm quite swamped at the moment! Dan (22 years ago, 9-Apr-03, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Laser Tower

(...) Thanks for the kudos, my friend. (...) For the laser tower, it was based off of a piece from an out of print board game called Fortress America. I think there are alot of humbling, oustanding, if not epic mocs out there. That said, the one (...) (22 years ago, 5-Apr-03, to lugnet.build.military)

In lugnet.build.military, Keith Goldman writes: <<snip>> (...) Highlighted, perhaps too late. Oh! Oh! Oh! How on earth could I miss this when it was announced? I have no clue! I am so glad I found it now! I don't know where to start! It's amazing! (...) (22 years ago, 4-Apr-03, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Laser Tower

(...) Hey Keith. I cannot believe I missed this huge, amazing MOC. I love it! Did you use up all your bricks? :) I am always looking for minifig scale dioramas, but most importantly, the ones with such great details as yours. What's this? You also (...)   Re: Laser Tower

Felix, (the Sea-monkey-pontiff?) Thanks for the kudos, I really appreciate it. The laser tower is one of my favorite projects. The greatest compliment in the thread was that it was easy to picture the Laser tower down the street from station 45. Its (...) (22 years ago, 3-Apr-03, to lugnet.build.military, lugnet.space)

  Re: Laser Tower

(...) It's probably more a reflection of how few people check .build.military than anything else. Keith, if you're reading this, crosspost to .space next time! ;-) (...) I haven't noticed that. Could you give some examples? (...) No argument there. (...) (22 years ago, 3-Apr-03, to lugnet.build.military, lugnet.space)

  Re: Laser Tower

Keith, I did not see this last summer but I would also like to add that you have definitely captured an industrial/military feel to this setup! The details are really extraordinary--from the wheel on the pressure tanks (?) to the working welder. I (...) (22 years ago, 2-Apr-03, to lugnet.build.military, lugnet.space)

  Re: Laser Tower

Totally. I remember seeing this before and then got caught up on Keith's other creations and forgot to go back. Like the Hot Weather assortment, the base is wonderful in it's 'dirty' details. I'd really like to see more of the ambulance ship on the (...) (22 years ago, 2-Apr-03, to lugnet.build.military, lugnet.space)

  Re: Laser Tower

(...) I agree with you Felix. The 'texture' of this model is intense. It goes beyond mere greebling. Heck, the Medical Ship that is landed on the pad looks like an amazing MOC in itself, and yet it is easily dwarfed by the details and scale of the (...)
