Re: Of ABS and Lego Hinds

You beat me to it! ;-) Looks great Bryce! The JSF cockpit piece is perfectly suited to the Hind IMHO, I really like the front half of the model, although the tail seems too chunky to me, I like the missile tubes under the wings, very clever idea (...)   Of ABS and Lego Hinds

(...) This is one of the biggest hurdles that I will run into if I ever try to convert my MLCAD designs. The beauty of using MLCAD is that any number of parts are available to me in any number of colors, while in real life, some parts just don't (...)   Re: My MOCs in ABS

(...) Thanks Bryce for your kind words and of course for the dat-file of the A-4. Making a ABS version the three-colour IAF variant is not as easy as I first thought. For the moment there are no triangular plates of any kind available in tan, and no (...) (22 years ago, 13-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: A-4 skyhawk is now posted

Thanks for the comments Mark. Its always gratifying to hear from someone, especially another LEGO aircraft builder. It is a long term goal of mine to build all of my designs out of actual bricks but until I some variables fall into place (money, (...) (22 years ago, 12-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: My MOCs in ABS

(...) Thanks Bruce but I really can't take all of the credit. Mattias did have to do some structural reinforcement of my designs and the ejection seat design that you enjoyed is purely his design - I use a similar but standardized seat for all my (...)   Re: My MOCs in ABS

(...) real live plastic rather than rendered, so it is great to see these designs come to life. My favorite details are the windshield of the f-14 and the seats in the cockpit. I don't really like the nose of the MIG, but perhaps I should take this (...) (22 years ago, 12-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: A-4 skyhawk is now posted

I've been enjoying your work for some time now, espcially as I'm also a Lego aviation enthusiast. I think it's great how virtually every plane remaining plane I can think of that I'd like to see minifig scale 'brickified' you've already done! F-15 (...)   Re: A-4 skyhawk is now posted

(...) I really must come up with a way to make my .dat files available more readily, but until then Mattias, you have but to ask and I will happily provide them. The A-4 was my first attempt to depict a tri-color paint scheme and I'm pretty happy (...) (22 years ago, 12-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.military)

  My MOCs in ABS

(...) Alas, all of my MOCs are built entirely on the computer using MLCAD and until the time comes that my disposable income reaches critical mass and there is a sale on Brickbay, it looks to stay that way. However, Mattias Martensson has has done a (...) (22 years ago, 12-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: A-4 skyhawk is now posted

(...) Also, I'd love to see your model done with a Blue Angels paint job. Before the F/A 18, they used A-4's for many years. --Bill. (22 years ago, 11-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.military)
