Re: Take Two - Heinkel He219 WWII German Nightfighter

Normally, I'd just sit back and silently admire someone's efforts, but as model aircraft are a long-time obsession of mine (35+ years) I have to say: I am in awe. Given the inherent limitations imposed by the medium, this is amazing. (23 years ago, 22-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: My new work "M4A1 Sherman"

Congratulations Tosiaki It is really an excellent model. Thank you for all the pictures. I agree that you have caught the spirit of the Sherman tank in you model. Your solution for the wheel arrangement is very inventive and good-looking. Is it (...) (23 years ago, 22-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.military)

Thank you for seeing <ALL And sorry that there are few pictures. Then, many pictures were added. (URL) are many variations in M4, grasping each type carries out difficulty, and it is from a paddle. I have been to the library today. Of course, it (...) (23 years ago, 22-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: My new work "M4A1 Sherman"

Tosiaki-san, Nice work indeed. I'm generally not interested in military models, but your tank looks awsome. The Sherman has a specially attractive design and you have captured not just the looks, but the spirit behind them. The thread area is (...) (23 years ago, 22-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Vought F-4 Corsair

An excellent model, in a number of ways. I agree about the wings being too short, but I think you did a great job of capturing the angles at the base of the wings, which is probably the hardest part of the Corsair. One note about nomenclature (...) (23 years ago, 22-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: Take Two - Heinkel He219 WWII German Nightfighter

(...) I had a similar problem in an early version of my Navy patrol bomber, and fixed it when I realized that my wings were too thin. I ended up making the wings 3 bricks thick, and the scale was much more accurate. Now your wings won't be nearly (...) (23 years ago, 22-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: Take Two - Heinkel He219 WWII German Nightfighter

(...) Wow! That's incredible! How did you get it to balance on its wheels? Looks like you fixed the engines too, so they don't rotate with the prop (How'd you do it?). Very well done. Now if you really want a challenge, make the landing gear (...) (23 years ago, 22-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.military)

Hey Tosiaki, Always interesting to see other people's Lego versions of a model. You can see my Sherman at: (URL) forward to seeing more stuff from you. Chris Churchill Mechanized Brick (...) (23 years ago, 21-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: My new work "M4A1 Sherman"

(...) My only complaint is that there aren't enough views! That's a fantastic model, and three pictures don't do it justice. The detail is wonderful; I especially like the supports for the treads and the use of the cylindrical engine in the front. (...) (23 years ago, 21-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.military)
