(...) I had to buy the canopies on BrickBay. I bought quite a few parts on BrickBay in fact, mainly for the turrets, but also some of the slopes in the tail. It's not at all easy to build a model this big, and it takes up a lot of brick. Just about (...) (23 years ago, 30-Oct-01, to lugnet.build.military)

(...) Thanks! Actually I picked this plane partly because I wouldn't have as many tricky curves. The plane was known as the "flying boxcar" by some. The wings' airfoil shape was probably the hardest curve to get right. --Bill. (23 years ago, 29-Oct-01, to lugnet.build.military)

Very Impressive model. I love to see the models of the USAAF and USNAF. This gives me more incentive to find the time to finish my in-design B-24. Maybe I will since all of my black and red is in the hull of my sub right now. I might look into it, (...) (23 years ago, 28-Oct-01, to lugnet.build.military)

(...) The cockpit in my PB4Y-2 is fairly simple, but there is one key trick that you might like to include: using 1x2 plates with center stud to squeeze a 2-seat cockpit into a 6-wide space. I basically built a 5-wide cockpit and mounted it at 1/2 (...) (23 years ago, 28-Oct-01, to lugnet.build.military)
