  Re: Aliens Style APC

(...) The APC is wonderfully constructed. Just sweet. If I recall, I believe the movie version was wider (or at least seemed to be--more low slung, perhaps; I suspect that's what you were commenting on in terms of the boxy-ness. Would widening the (...)   Re: The Shag Wagon Urban Assault Vehicle

Paul, Amazing! This is easily the most original thing on .build.military in a long time. I think my favorite part is the small arms storage in the back. This is reminiscent of Mask from the '80s, if anyone remembers that (sort of GI Joe meets (...) (18 years ago, 3-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)

Re: The Shag Wagon Urban Assault Vehicle

(...) Very nice, Paul. I love the playability of that monster ride. But, I gotta tell you, I think there is still room for a few more weapons under the hood! ;) ---Will Chapman BrickArms LLC (18 years ago, 2-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)

Re: The Shag Wagon Urban Assault Vehicle

(...) Very cool! This could easily be re-colored into a "James Bond"-type vehicle. All we need is a flamethrower, a minelayer, and an oil slick sprayer. Still, it's 'shagalicious' just as is. Maybe I'll steal some ideas from you for an 'Urban (...) (18 years ago, 2-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)

Re: The Shag Wagon Urban Assault Vehicle

(...) Wow, not every dad in the world would build a shag wagon for his son! Wow the therapy bills are gonna' be astronomical. Giggle. (Sorry, could NOT resist!) I love how you managed to cram so much detail and function into such a small package. To (...) (18 years ago, 2-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)

Re: Snowmobile tread for military tanks?

Re: Snowmobile tread for military tanks?

(...) yea i noticed that. the new tracks look pretty beefy. finaly something realistic to model with. the color is ok, i would prefer black as well but at least there not pink. With the new tracks maybe i should think about building that 16/th (...) (18 years ago, 1-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.military)

  Snowmobile tread for military tanks?

The new snowmobile really caught my eye. Set #8272 with the new wide tread links. (URL) have not seen the links up close and in person, but do you think they may be useful for a minifig-scale tank? The treads look a little bit too wide. And the (...) (18 years ago, 31-Dec-06, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: Red fighter plane from WoH

(...) Hi Mladen, I pretty much agree with everything you say here. The canards are studs out mainly because the area they attach to is (neccesarily) studs out and there is a fairly limited selection of snot bricks in dark red. Along with other (...)   Re: Red fighter plane from WoH

(...) That is a difficult plane to model, so I give you kudos for just attempting it. Despite a couple inaccuracies, I think this is a really good start. The engine and the main wings are superb. The main body could use a bit more trimming and (...) (18 years ago, 28-Dec-06, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)

  Red fighter plane from WoH

(2 URLs) BS> (URL) Flickr> Well I seem to have found a new fad (after some prodding by Mladen). This fighter is the major aeroplane for the 'good guys' in the final battle of the film. It's far from perfect and I've already started making some (...) (18 years ago, 27-Dec-06, to lugnet.build.military, lugnet.space, lugnet.announce.moc, FTX)

Re: Armoured Personell Carrier from Wings of the Honneamise

(...) Hi Magnus, Sorry I didn't answer you on flickr but you have more questions here so it's ok... I can't tell where the driver sits either (maybe under/next to the dome turret) but the front is the end without the mandibles/door. I'll be happy to (...)   Re: Armoured Personell Carrier from Wings of the Honneamise

Tim, (...) Thanks for sharing. What an interesting looking vehicle - I can't quite tell where the driver sits and it isn't completely apparent what the front and back are. I'd be happy to see more MOCs of vehicles from "Wings of the Honneamise." I (...) (18 years ago, 27-Dec-06, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)
