  Completed USS Missouri sneak peak...

Hey folks! I'm still building... just too swamped with work to get to posting much these days... Anyway, my USS Misouri MOC went on public display last weekend for the first time since completion. It's been a really hectic week at work so far, which (...) (20 years ago, 18-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.military) !

  Re: Tieran Marine Core Gear

(...) Hey Keith. Thanks for that. Let me know when you finish those variants, I would really like to see them I am working on some ideas myself, one in particular with a light saber kilt. Regards, David (20 years ago, 28-Feb-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.military, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Plane assistance?

(...) Hi Leigh Great news to hear about your Spitfire project. I made a Spit myself in about 1/30 scale a year ago. I choose a dark and light grey color scheme since it is easy to find suitable parts. You can see my version at: (URL) luck - I am (...) (20 years ago, 27-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Plane assistance?

(...) Whoa. That's gonna be friggin' huge..., it's getting into the scale of R/C airplanes. (...) I'd say try to find some alternate schemes. Perhaps there are some nice lesser-known schemes for desert, night, winter, etc. that would let you make (...) (20 years ago, 27-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Tieran Marine Core Gear

(...) Nice work David, I thought the use of the ski was particularly inspired, and the jetpack was a nice compact design. I made copies of each and I'm working on some variants. Thanks for the inspiration. -Keith (20 years ago, 27-Feb-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.military, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Tieran Marine Core Gear

(...) Really? Is it coming apart? I played around with the parts so that I got a pretty stable MOC. I used new parts also. I shake it around, poke it, and drop it on my desk with no probs :). David. (20 years ago, 26-Feb-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.military, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Dino Attack: Alpha Team meets Jurassic Park?

(snip) It is just me, or does anybody think this would have made a good Alpha Team venture? Ogel finds Dinosaur DNA, then unleases Dinosaurs in his latest evil plot. "Alpha Team, with their mighty vehicles, answer to the Dinosaur threat" Disclaimer (...) (20 years ago, 25-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Tieran Marine Core Gear

(...) Hello Kyle. Thanks for the compliments! I definitely try to minimize size and part count while trying not to compromise too much the details. Thanks for commenting on the booster packs also. You are the only one so far to have said anything (...) (20 years ago, 25-Feb-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.military, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Dino Attack: Militarization of LEGO?

Lindsay, I'm trying not to hold the giant proportions against these sets just yet, since the Hind sitting above my computer still comes in at around 50 studs long, but it's quite literally a stretch. One can only imagine the ensuing chaos when kids (...) (20 years ago, 25-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: Dino Attack: Militarization of LEGO?

(...) That ship's goofy and ugly, frankly. It's outsize and done in awful colors. No sir, I don't like it. That "SUV" thing? No doors? Oh, yeah, that's really going to be effective against dinosaurs, sure. When you go to 12-wide cars, you may as (...) (20 years ago, 25-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.military)
