  New Design

hey, would anyoen be planning on making a Kirov Airship from Red ALert 2? It would be kinda easy, you could just use the Zeppelin "pod" thing from the Air Zeppelin adventurers set. I think taht would be an awesome Idea! (23 years ago, 15-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.military)

You could use bionicle balls to make it rotate all around,(?) C'ya (...) (23 years ago, 15-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: Request for help: bomber gun turrets

(...) Feel free; I'll do the same. The turret on the nose is a ball turret, actually; it rotates and tilts. We can fudge some of that, but I want it to be as close as possible if I can. For example the wings and tails have moving flaps, the turrets (...) (23 years ago, 15-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.military)

(...) have to find a way to make it rotate.... I don't have any of those helicopter windscreens in trans-light-blue, which is the color I'm planning to use for all the windows of this beast. Perhaps i can find some on e-bay. I would love to have the (...) (23 years ago, 14-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: P-51 Mustang,

(...) Geordan, Wow, this looks great, though I couldn't see the cockpit well enough to see the 2x2 brown plate. One minor quibble, should the radiator scoop be more pronounced, or did it vary with the different models? Thanks, George (23 years ago, 14-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.military)

(...) I wanted to build the plane first and then add in details after if I could, managed to get most of the stuff I wanted in there and still keep it looking like a P-51, which was lucky! (...) Thanks Gary! -Geordan- (...) (23 years ago, 14-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: P-51 Mustang,

(...) Thanks, I think I went a little overboard on them though, maybe slightly beyond realistic, oh well, it was fun! ;-D It looks like a P-51D to me-- (...) Woohoo! that's the best comment ever!   Re: P-51 Mustang,

(...) D-Day stripes into the scheme. It looks like a P-51D to me-- it couldn't be mistaken for anything else! That reminds me...it's time to get back to building. I'm too spent from this week. I need to recharge. Thanks for your wonderful model. LFB (23 years ago, 14-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.military)
