(...) OK, I've posted pictures "under the hood." The design is so simple that you'll probably kick yourself for not thinking of it. I have been all week! It will be really easy to render construction plans in L-draw, because the two sides could be (...) (22 years ago, 7-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.military)

Dan, this is a *quantum* leap forward in hull design. I, too, am curious as to how you did it. Construction details would be great! I tremble at the thought of a minifig-scale rendition. -Teddy (22 years ago, 7-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.military)

(...) This looks beautiful! I can't get over how smoothly and effectively the flexing works! What sort of structure is on the inside of the ship to hold the hull in position? How long is the overall model? Any chance we can get a top-down view? (...) (22 years ago, 7-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.military)

Partially inspired by Mattias Mårtensson's USS Fletcher, and partly out of my own curiosity to attempt a new ship-building technique, I threw together a 1/4 size version of the minifig scale Cleveland Class curiser I've been dreaming about building (...) The WW2 stuff is great and I hope it does really well for you, but I have my hands full with pirates and castles (and I simply didn't respond because I never saw the message until now). (...)
