  Re: Dome of the Rock

(...) Arthur, Well done! I like how you did the 4 frame windows on the second floor with grill tiles. Nice. Have fun! C-Ya! Rich (17 years ago, 14-Feb-08, to lugnet.build.microscale)

  Dome of the Rock

I swear I didn’t build this in 4 days. I had started a number of projects over the summer but they all took a back seat when I was commissioned to build a model of a local church. The church was completed in early January and I’m finally getting (...) (17 years ago, 13-Feb-08, to lugnet.build, lugnet.build.microscale, lugnet.build.arch) !

In lugnet.announce, Arthur Gugick wrote: [snip] (...) Nice work! I think your dome looks really good, and I'm planning on borrowing your technique for a MOC currently underway. I have to admit, I was so psyched to see a usable dome technique that (...) (17 years ago, 12-Feb-08, to lugnet.build.microscale)

  St. Peter's Basilica

My next Lego landmark: St. Peter's Basilica. Or should I say a cathedral based on St. Peter's Basilica? Clearly the colors are wrong but that was a matter of economics coupled with the amazing pieces I found at the Disney pick-a-brick. Also, by (...) Hello everbody! Today I want to present you something new from the micro workshop. Although it may be niether impressive nor accurate, I hope to make you smile a little bit.   Stargate Update!

Hello everybody! About 3 weeks ago, I opened a new sub section on my humble homepage dealing with Stargate ((URL)). Many people didn't notice it at first and asked "Why haven't you posted it on Lugnet". I'd like to do this now, as having had some (...)   VX-999 - Space Pirate Lair (microscale)

(URL) I builded! After a year of not building anything, I decided to try out castle, microscale, and floating rocks - all in one MOC. This was inspired by the recent space station (fbtb) and microscale castle (classic-castle) contests, everyone's (...)   Salior's Light

This was my entry to the "Mini Castle Contest III" on C-C: (URL) Backstory: This once-barren island was discovered by a group of sea-faring monks, who liked the remote location, and labored hard to construct a new monastery there.   Re: new moc: microscale caribbean resort

(...) A very clever technique. I assume there are tiles placed alongside the fence to build the thickness up to a full stud width? How are the tiles held up? I played around with a picket fence and two 1x4 tiles and was able to get the same look but (...) (17 years ago, 25-Aug-07, to lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)
