  Battlestar Galactica Minis!

Hello altogether! Some may know me from many MINI Star Wars models. But today's post is a little different. I recently watched some classic episodes of Battlestar Galactica, an old SciFi series. I thought I'd give it a try and build some BS (...) (19 years ago, 26-Oct-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.build.microscale, FTX) !!

Re: Microscale Great Wall of China built for Hong Kong documentary

People in this community have had the opportunity to do many cool things over the years, but this has got to rank near the top. Congratulations on the moc and the experience. -Keith (19 years ago, 14-Oct-05, to lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

Re: Microscale Great Wall of China built for Hong Kong documentary

(...) Ah - I actually only flew to New York City... the Hong Kong crew was in the US for the week. (I just realized my write-up doesn't mention NY anywhere.) :) those photos of me at the Great Wall of China are from my coincidental recent visit in (...)   Re: Micro-Scale MOC: Drachenburg Castle

(...) Very, very nice. I really want to sit myself down and try to copy some of your elements. I'm also a fan of microscale as it keeps the models in a size/time frame that I can manage. (19 years ago, 12-Oct-05, to lugnet.build.microscale)

Re: Microscale Great Wall of China built for Hong Kong documentary

(...) Thanks! I'd been itching to do a model with some nice fluid curves for some time now, and this was the perfect opportunity. I really wanted to add more gentle contouring with plates, as well as some mottling with varied shades of green and (...) (19 years ago, 12-Oct-05, to lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

Great landscaping, and mottling. The colour balance is great, especially for something so small! God Bless, Nathan Visit my brickshelf gallery: (URL) (pic=link) (19 years ago, 12-Oct-05, to lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

  Re: Micro-Scale MOC: Drachenburg Castle

A great MOC. It is always nice to have a whole composition, rather than just a stand alone piece. This has a beautiful flow/layout with nice height fluctuation. The drop under the bridge is my faviourite detail... it just makes the MOC for me! (...) (19 years ago, 12-Oct-05, to lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

Re: Microscale Great Wall of China built for Hong Kong documentary

I think the scale is far, far too small for the 1x3 arches to be used for that!! But more importantly, very impressive model. I love the landscaping. -Josh (19 years ago, 12-Oct-05, to lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

Re: Microscale Great Wall of China built for Hong Kong documentary

That's awesome that they flew you guys out there for this. Very impressive for a 90 minute model! But was 90 minutes all the time they gave you to build the model, or could you have taken more time if you wanted? I'm curious why you chose to (...) Wow - amazing cool ! the towers are great. the mill and the bridges are very good. And of course the dragon itself ! ;) Keep building. (19 years ago, 12-Oct-05, to lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

  Micro-Scale MOC: Drachenburg Castle

Presenting my first Micro-scale MOC... (URL) (Click for images) Drachenburg is a castle on a hill that overlooks a small town. Dragons sometime visit the area, hence the name - and one has just arrived in the town to check things out. There is a (...)   Re: Micro Steam Engine

(...) Yeah, when I eventually get some time I'd like to experiment with Peer's magnetic propulsion idea. The rail system might require a few modifications, especially in how the space between the rails is constructed, but I'm pretty sure it could (...)   Re: Micro Steam Engine

(...) The 1 x 2 version of the rail plate was suggested in another post. I'm wondering how you would use a mag-lev method to motorize the train on these rails, something like (URL) this> that was created in Europe. Paul Sinasohn LUGNET #115 (...)
