Thats awesome that they flew you guys out there for this.

Ah - I actually only flew to New York City... the Hong Kong crew was in the US
for the week. (I just realized my write-up doesnt mention NY anywhere.) :)
those photos of me at the Great Wall of China are from my coincidental recent
visit in May. We filmed in a building that was in a Chinese part of the city,
hence the murals in the background of some of the photos.

Very impressive for a 90 minute model! But was 90 minutes all the time they
gave you to build the model, or could you have taken more time if you wanted?

Well, they only had an hour to dedicate to the shoot, so I needed a design that
could be built quickly. (And we ran late.)

Im curious why you chose to contruct the microscale wall using the four
shades of gray. The photos of your visit to the actual wall shows the stones
that comprise the wall to be quite uniform in color.

rebuilt... we could see in the distance, areas where the wall had disintigrated
entirely.

I was also surprised you didnt use 1x3 arches for the doors to the

Well, the whole project went from idea to completion in less than a week, which
was barely enough time to get parts, get there, and build it. I do like the
idea though -- wish Id thought of it in time :)
