Re: LEGO Factory Contest MOC: Weekend Holiday

(...) Hi Joe, Thanks for the compliments. I do wish that there was some way of uploading a larger image for the competition; the size that they give you on the website just doesn't show enough detail. I have a couple more "sets" for this series in (...) (20 years ago, 18-Nov-04, to lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

Re: LEGO Factory Contest MOC: Weekend Holiday

(...) Sean, Thanks for the compliments. This is actually the first of what (if actually produced) would be three or more "connected" sets, which would create a larger scene. I'm going to try to have the next two ready next week's voting. Stay tuned! (...) (20 years ago, 18-Nov-04, to lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

  Re: Tank-killer..

This is a superb model. My only suggestion to get a little closer to the real thing would be to replace the last two plates worth of the engines with black, or maybe dark grey, instead of the current grey (part of the rear 1x1 grey brick) to (...)   This one's for you, Ashley

Pre-NWBC, I didn't give microscale building a second thought whenever I saw a little moc on the recent pages of Brickshelf. Then I tagged along with a few other AFOLs to Ashley Glennon's Micro seminar at NWBC a couple weeks ago, and now I'm high on (...)   Re: LEGO Factory Contest MOC: Weekend Holiday

(...) Joel: I love this model, it's one of my favorites I've seen uploaded to the competition. I originally thought I might decide to make a campsite or summer camp, but I guess I don't need to now. :) "Not much of a townie"? You should try it more (...)   Re: File A56-7W

(...) James, Archangel is on the way (although the eyepatch is a problem) :-)..I would have thought that Hawk would have been the one to be here. And Blue Thunder? Well......maybe. I really like the Lady! Joe (20 years ago, 17-Nov-04, to lugnet.build.military, lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

  Re: Tank-killer..

(...) Oops. I should have looked this up. But it's easily fixed. Thanks for catching this. And if you noticed this, someone else would too. Thanks for the comments! Joe (20 years ago, 17-Nov-04, to lugnet.build.military, lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

  Re: Tank-killer..

(...) Thanks! That's about the best compliment one can give! I hope to see a micro from you soon! Joe (20 years ago, 17-Nov-04, to lugnet.build.military, lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

  Re: Tank-killer..

(...) Smoke parts have been some of the best things to come from LEGO this year! And that rounded wedge is a great piece! Joe (20 years ago, 17-Nov-04, to lugnet.build.military, lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

  Re: Tank-killer..

(...) Thanks, Cyndi - As usual, the Apache was a bunch of happy accidents while building something else. Airwolf. The nose built itself, then the cockpit, then...the rest of it! A very fun build, as is Micro in general to me. and don't worry, (...) (20 years ago, 17-Nov-04, to lugnet.build.military, lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

Re: LDD Micro Space Shuttle: Based on 1682

Re: LEGO Factory MOC: Medieval Castle

(...) Nice work...I saw some more pix on your Bshelf account and like the playability I see..the microfigs can be on the walls and in the towers. Joe Meno .space paparazzi! (20 years ago, 17-Nov-04, to lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

Re: LEGO Factory Contest MOC: Weekend Holiday

(...) (snip) (...) Joel, I initially looked at this yesterday and thought "hm, nice idea...everyone is doing buildings and you aren't!" I only saw the pic above and was pretty impressed with the work you put into the scenery. However, I just took a (...) (20 years ago, 17-Nov-04, to lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

LEGO Factory Contest MOC: Weekend Holiday

I'm not much of a Town builder, but I have had a couple of ideas for the current contest. I figured that even the residents of micro-scale towns need a place to get away to on vacation, so I came up with this: (URL) Entitled "Weekend Holiday," this (...)   Re: LEGO Factory MOC: Medieval Castle

(...) Well thank you Mat. I spent about 2 hours on that on Sunday so I could have something for the first week. I'm hoping to spend a little more time on the next ones I create. I plan to load what I create to this folder... (URL) Unless I get a (...) (20 years ago, 17-Nov-04, to lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

Re: LEGO Factory MOC: Medieval Castle

(...) Damn that's nice. I can't wait to see some of these sets in production. Mat (20 years ago, 16-Nov-04, to lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

  Re: Tank-killer..

(...) Wow, that's a great job! It looks more convincing than many larger scale models. One critique: the tips on the main rotor blades should be swept in the opposite direction. Looking down on the helo, the main rotor blades rotate (...) (20 years ago, 16-Nov-04, to lugnet.build.military, lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

  Re: Tank-killer..

Hi Joe I saw your Apache while at work today and didn't have the time to really look at it. Sitting at home now I think it is fantastic, really spot on realistic. It makes me want to build micro scale. Thanks for the inspiration. Chris P.S. Your (...) (20 years ago, 16-Nov-04, to lugnet.build.military, lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)
