Hi all,

I've been poring over pictures by "scrope" in this folder:
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=95969
Such great stuff!  I really need to build more at this scale.

To me, the best of show is this train station:
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=885628
Who built that?  Was it a COLTC group creation, or was it an individual?

Some of my favorite tiny build details are this helicopter (by who?):
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=885629
and in that same picture the glass elevators on the right-hand building (again,
by who?)
Janey's Canadian flag:
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=885642
and the use of ladders as train tracks:
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=885651

One of the funnest (okay, I know that's not a word) aspects of microscalery is
when people do micro versions of official sets, such as Janey packs into this:
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=885650
or Andy's 375:
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=885650
Or when people do microversions of system-scale MOCs, like Lenny's Eastern Block
shuttle or this moonbase (by who?):

Could someone post the results of the contest with links to the pics?  Some of
the awards mentioned in this post are clear, but I'm not sure which creations
are meant by others:

Also, could someone explain this MOC?
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=885691
Is it a slice of a lost world inside a planet, a spacestation, from some
specific sci-fi reference that I'm missing, or just out of the builder's head?

Anyway, it looks like it was a blast.  Wish I could have come.   . . . sigh . . . maybe next year.

Bruce

(...) That is a ring world created by Lenny Hoffman. Its a huge ring around a planet or star, that rotates, with gravity produced by centrifugal force (centripedal?) (...) Hi Bruce, Okay, let me see if I can shed some light on this........ First of all, I agree it's a great folder of the Micros for BrickFest. (...) Funny you should say that, because that Train Station was built by Paul Janssen and that *did* win (...) (20 years ago, 3-Sep-04, to lugnet.build.microscale)
