  it's finally here!

sorry it took so friggin' long to finish my fourth mecha. it takes forever for bricklink parts to arrive as well as taking decent pics.so here it is, the eva-oo blue version! the model is fully articulated, but due to it's unusual size (just under 2 (...) (...) streamlined and its rather hard to achive it with Lego. IMHO, your MOC is still far from the real thing but you've captured it in your very own style and personally, I like it. The spine joint tech you came up with is excellent. It gave me a (...) (21 years ago, 5-Oct-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) too true, too true. the only way to capture the true organic form of the eva using lego would be to make it much bigger. however, i haven't the inventory nor the dough to purchase that many. maybe someday (sigh). (...) it's my brainchild. that (...) (21 years ago, 5-Oct-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Jason, It's been cool seeing your stuff and I really enjoy watching your mechs grow from creation to creation. Keep it up. (...) I totally dig the spine. We were talking about that a little at NWBC last weekend. How to get really mobile and (...) (21 years ago, 7-Oct-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) ah,yes...the spine. i originally had a pic of the back of the spine w/othe grey pieces, but i had to remove it because brickshelf made that pic the cover of the whole file. anyways, on the opposite side of the ball joints, i ran a stiff, but (...) (...) Yes please. Sounds interesting. BTW Brickshelf folders display alphabetically, so if you don't want brickshelf to put certain pictures first in the folder, simply prefix them with a 'z' before uploading. Or am I stating the obvious? I now (...) (21 years ago, 8-Oct-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) out there. The tube and axlehole spine you have created is excellent. Just how felxible does that make it I wonder? If it's true flexibility isn't shown can you please take more pics showing it, that would be really cool. Great job yet (...) (21 years ago, 8-Oct-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) thanks for the compliment! i was trying to go for an eva model that was as true to the actual character as i could possibly get. some other lego evas have shown nice posability, but lack in aesthetics. i tried for both, but lost out on (...) (21 years ago, 8-Oct-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

You've got nothing to apologize for, Jason! This is a phenominal piece of work! You've caputured the very essence of the EVA-not an easy feat to do in the brick. -Dave (21 years ago, 12-Oct-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) wow! thanks for the compliment! the fact is, i was trying very hard to capture the essence of the eva in form. not to give myself propers or nothing, but i was pleased with the overall results of this model. however, as i mentioned in other (...)
