Thats really neat - it looks a lot like the Bandai photos Ive seen.
(and it was the one with the flat head - glad my memory doesnt totally
deceive me!)
|
Yeah; there were 2 reasons I chose the Ishtar over the TA17. The first being the
flat head and tank-like design made the Ishtar a little less complex to build.
The second being it gave me an opportunity to use a lot of tan in a design/theme
(mecha) that I usually wouldnt consider for such a project.

I like the cockpit interior a lot - does a minifig fit inside?
|
Absolutely. I need to include a photo of that as well. When the hatches are open
a space-seat (also tan) slides out. I have the seat mounted on a couple black
slide rails and the minifig sits on top. I played around with it a lot to get
the position of the minifig as close to the anime as possible. Once inside, the
head of the Ishtar closes to surround the head of the minifig, putting the
minifig at eye-level with the head-mounted monitors.

Thanks! I wish that info was easier to find on the site, but glad someone could
answer that so quickly.
