That’s really neat - it looks a lot like the Bandai photo’s I’ve seen.
(and it was the one with the flat head - glad my memory doesn’t totally
deceive me!)
I like the cockpit interior a lot - does a minifig fit inside?

BTW: Can anyone tell me how to post a message to the lugnet.announce.moc
group? I tried posting this announcement there, but received the following
message:

You need to set the post’s “follow-up” field to another group. This
means that when people reply to your post, their replies end up in
that group rather than cluttering up the announce.moc group.
So in your case, if you were using the web form, you’d enter
“lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.announce.moc” in the Newsgroups: field,
and “lugnet.build.mecha” in the Request Followups To: field.

| (...) Yeah; there were 2 reasons I chose the Ishtar over the TA17. The first being the flat head and tank-like design made the Ishtar a little less complex to build. The second being it gave me an opportunity to use a lot of tan in a design/theme (...) (21 years ago, 20-Aug-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

It became a bit tricky to complete a model strong enough to support movement and poses while still allowing for the entry system and full cockpit of the (...) (21 years ago, 19-Aug-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX) !
