thanks ya'll for the input and kind words!
props to you all for being an inspiration to me.  posability is actually
pretty good due largely in part to the minimal use of elements.  this lends
to a less heavier model overall and allows the joints more stability and
balance.  though there is some slipping in the spine/torso joint when its
position is too extreme over the feet, the weight of the upper-body takes
over and throws it off balance.  i'd imagine that a joint other than the
ball-n-socket type might be in order...perhaps one of those locking
radial/hinge type elements (found in the special ed naboo starfighter set).
this would require some serious structural rethinking...food for thought! ;-)
i would love to post a CAD-type render of how it was built, but lack the
program.  where can i get a really good version of it?  the last time i DL'd
Ldraw it was lacking 85% of the basic elements in its library which didn't
allow me much in the way of building anything virtually; and at the time
there was little support or reference for me to go on.  if you could help me
out with that i definitely will start laying out its construction...until
then i may just disassemble it and photograph how it was laid out
brick-by-brick...
anyway, thanks again!  i look forward to seeing more of your work as well!
keep it up!
