hey everyone!
good to be online and with so many others who share the passion and love of
LEGO!  props!  i just wanted to post a link to my brickshelf folder and get
some feedback on a mecha i built recently.  engineering was inspired by many
sources.  i must say that i'm a
"brick-minimalist" and overall tend to find ways to use less bricks more
effectively.  there are approximately 300 elements in this particular model.
let me know what ya'll think by response thread or e-mailing me direct!  thanks!

(...) Hi Brian, As always, welcome. I checked out your brickshelf folder and have to give you kudos for you great Mechs. Your "brick-minimalist" approach to building does offer a unique style to your designs. I took some time and studied your recent (...) (22 years ago, 23-May-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) Hello Brian. I am VERY impressed with your mechs! I remembered your Brickshelf folder immediately. I have a shortcut to it so that should tell ya something hehe. Your minimalist approach is one I share. I often find myself limited however, so (...) (22 years ago, 23-May-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

thanks ya'll for the input and kind words! props to you all for being an inspiration to me. posability is actually pretty good due largely in part to the minimal use of elements. this lends to a less heavier model overall and allows the joints more (...) ooh! i'm glad this was finally posted on lugnet. is this your first mecha? if so, i am floored! i love this mecha. it looks very lightweight and highly posable. red is always a great color for mecha. i really like the size of the shoulders and the (...) I really like this one. I'm impressed by your ability to achieve so much with so little (I tend towards the other end of the spectrum), and your excellent sense of form. The torso in particular is very refined. Take care, Soren (22 years ago, 23-May-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Brian, This is a fantastic variation on Gla Gla's armature! You've enhanced his basic design and made it about as sleek and lovely as humanly possible. Using red as your main color really worked for this model. Great job! -Dave (21 years ago, 25-May-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)
