WoW! Jason, Mk II is quite an improvement over Mk I as well it should be!
The colorscheme is
much more refined and the detail on this model is quite stunning. I'd love
to see this one on
display at BricksWest 2004 just to perform some side-by-side comparisons
with some of the
other models we'll have there.

ahh...if only i could make it to brickswest.  actually, i might be able to
make it if i could get the time off.  my family and i like to plan
disneyland trips at least once a year.  here's hoping...

My big complaint would be exactly what Eric mentioned: the head is way too
small for the body. A
head 2-3x larger should be about right.

i see your point.  i agree with you, especially if you look at the head from
the front.  however, due to its elongated shape, it doesn't look so bad from
the side.  perhaps i might refine it a little more.

Any larger and it would be a
bobble-head mecha. ;)

...and Lord knows we don't have enough bobble-heads in the world today =)

Last thing: Though I love the colorscheme, I still feel there's too much red
running throughout
the arms and legs. Perhaps a softer shade (sand red?) or a heavier reliance
on light grey in these
area would provide the needed color balance.

hmmm...some food for thought.

Shape wise you've crafted a fine model-one worthy of highlight as one of the
most beautiful
models ever built out of Lego. Congrats!

holy shnikies!!!  that's the best compliment any mech-builder could ever
receive!!!  thanks a lot!!!  =)
