New Mecha MOC: Neko 2 —Stuart Immonen
Neko 2 made her debut at Brickswest, as faithfully documanted by the legomaster himself, Eric Sophie. Now, she's putting up her high heels in her own Brickshelf folder. (URL) for looking! stuart (22 years ago, 2-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

you have once again out done yourself, Stu... whats the count know one the Fembots? 3? or is 4? i can't remember these things... anyway, great job, it's very life-like...though i would have turned the ankles around to provide more stablity...          Re: New Mecha MOC: Neko 2 —Stuart Immonen
(...) How many have I made? Um, Neko I, II, Lola... that's it! (...) I'm assuming you mean a lateral 90 degree turn-- it wouldn't affect anything-- the ankles are symmetrical through 180 degrees. Actually, this _is_ the weakest point, IMO. They just (...)      (...) is to correctly photograph black LEGO, but Stuart, you managed to pull it off great! Ok, I am guess that you used ball joints and clicks, or are the elbows and knees plates hinges? The Bubble Gum Crisis is a great series and you got the suit (...) (22 years ago, 2-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New Mecha MOC: Neko 2 —Stuart Immonen
(...) I'm a slave to Photoshop. Though I used a slow "film" speed, and lots of natural light, the pix were still underexposed. Photoshop brought out _some_ details, but not everything. I'm going to try to take some more with a filtered flash. (...) (...) (22 years ago, 4-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New Mecha MOC: Neko 2 —Jason Coronado
we need more female mecha! neko2 is a breath of fresh air from all those masculine mechs. the curves, oh the curves! that's got to be hard to do. i really dig those high-heels. the legs look fantastic! just the right curves and proportions. very (...)          Re: New Mecha MOC: Neko 2 —Stuart Immonen
(...) I don't want to cause any marital strife! And, truth be told, Neko II isn't nearly as... articulated as David Thomas Jr.'s FeiYen... Thanks for looking! stuart (22 years ago, 4-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New Mecha MOC: Neko 2 —Bryce McGlone
Stuart, It was a pleasure putting this one together at BricksWest. I loved the way you packed her in foam that was cut out to the proper shape. I felt like I was opening a toy package. The one thing that struck me more than anything is the way that (...) (22 years ago, 2-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New Mecha MOC: Neko 2 —Stuart Immonen
(...) Well....weren't you? ;^) (...) Thanks man! (...) Well, if that's a criticism, I'll take it! I thought she stood okay-- the hips in particular ended up being stiffer than I'd expected; in fact, I think it's a preferable method of construction (...)       Purrr...rrr... Stuart, this is too cool. You're gonna give me an inferiority complex. Can I have her number? Take care, Soren (22 years ago, 2-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New Mecha MOC: Neko 2 —Eric Sophie
Ok, this is gonna be tough. I like this thing so much, you all are just gonna have to let me Phreak out. I'm gathering Jama's wires and Connecting the Vision Cam to the Laptop that Rob Limbaugh so gratiously loaned me for the event. The back usb on (...)      Wow, E! I didn't expect a treatise on Lego mecha, but you so obviously know your stuff... I have to say that I am so pleased to have participated (even via long-distance) in the Mecha display at BW03-- I couldn't have done it without you, and of (...)         Re: New Mecha MOC: Neko 2 —Christopher Snead
Man, that is pretty cool! I gotta say, my favorite thing about this mecha is the foot design - brilliant! If I have to criticize anything, my one critique would be that you used the SW click hinges for the knees, unlike the compact worm design for (...)          Re: New Mecha MOC: Neko 2 —Stuart Immonen
Shris, I was disappointed that I couldn't make it out for BW03, but when I found out that you weren't going to show, I was really bummed. But I'll get to pick your considerable brain at a date in the future, no doubt. As to the click hinges.... yeah (...) (22 years ago, 7-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Hey, sorry about the late reply. This baby is awesome! I'm really liking the head, it's so smooth and well shaped. The trans red highlights really add to it as well. The overall form factor on this get's a 10. Everything is so well sculpted and (...) (22 years ago, 8-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)
