No, I don't think it's been done before - but it's pretty cool! One of
those 'why didn't I think of that' deals.
One problem however: while it does look quite nice in the open position
you show, it looks kind of wonky in a closed position, and doesn't really
grip well. I can't really say anything bad about it, though, as I certainly
can't think of a solution - does anyone else have an idea for another thumb?
I think the torso makes a great palm, but the arm doesn't really do it for me.
Very cool idea, in any case.
