3 days??!!!  3 days??!!!  that kind of mecha would take me a year to design
and another month or two to build.  holy cow!  this looks fantastic!  great
color, great design, and wow--what a whopper!  this is one fly i would not
want to land on my sandwich!  o.k. (calming down) what i like most about
this mecha are the legs, head and tail.  i always thought those dark grey
45-degree landing legs (a la mars mission) were pretty crappy looking (i've
got a few and they just take up space), but you just know how to incorporate
almost any piece in your work and make it look good.  the tail and head look
very insectile which i assume was your goal.  sophie scores again!  nice job!

Hey right on JC, those Big Insect Legs, I just had to ahem, how shall we
say, Rock them! When I was building the GG Mech, I was playing around with
them on the Feet section, but I also thought they would be cool if they
could be used as part of a wing structure. Like one of the webs in a Bat's
wing. So I hope to try it sometime.

The head at first looked really weird. I had to re-do it's position and
rebuild the back of it. I almost opted to not add the Technic fig so the
head would have been more stream lined if it carried a minifig instead. I
also had to use that Technic fig since it was Red and has been wandering
around my collection for too long. It needed a Home.

Lastly, I wanted to mention that I was or wanted to make the tail bendy and
segmented. But I went for the Stubby stinger look.

BTW, the wings when used like that are really easy to mount on a Cam and
motorize the flapping motion. Try it sometime.
