I'm there a lot

Yeah, I gotta agree with you there. There were two reasons I chose these
colours though, and neither were aesthetic.
1) I have a lot of really cool and vital (i.e. hinges, slopes, tiles, etc.)
pieces in these colours. In short: ABUNDANCE.
2) They are military/industrial colours that seem fitting for a war machine
made out of metal. Even the coolest military vehicles are never painted in
dazzling colours... :-(

So, I'm sorry I let you down Paul, but I had to do it. Don't worry though,
when I get around to building smaller MOCs, I'll definitely start
experimenting with newer colour schemes.

didn't let me down, build what YOU want, not what all us
say to.  besides, your reasons are really good for why you did it.
i'll be glad to see other mocs w/ colors,
but that doesn't detract from my liking of this one too

althoough, it is too bad that military stuff is all so drab
in REALLIFE.  ROFL.
