man, i've been wondering when your next mecha will grace the scene again.
you have truly mastered the mobile platform, especially in this latest
model.  the fact that it is huge really impresses me because of all the
detail you can put into something that large.  my favorite part:  the
weapons, of course (cannons, rockets, mini cannons), although the infrared
camera (?) in the front is a very nice touch.  i must say that your z-22 is
still my favorite, though all your models make my jaw drop.  keep up the
great work!

A couple of goals I had with this model:
- Create a mecha that looked tank-ish in nature (I got inspiration from the
French Leclerc, the German Leopard 1 & 2, and a bit from the American Abrams
M1A2).
- Make the pilot cockpit/cabin blue, completely blue (because in real life
the interior colours of a vehicle are not always the same as the exterior).
- Make weapon systems that can be actually taken off of the mecha, for
inspection, reloading, repairs, etc. Makes sense, eh?
- Allow it to stand on a slippery surface and not fall (I already did this
for my MDP last year, but I wanted to do it again).

Well those were some of my motivations/guidelines for this particular mobile
platform. I hope they better explain some of the things pertaining to the model.

Enjoy!

Mladen Pejic, over and out!

(...) Heh, I dunno about "mastered", but I sure do like building 'em! Anyways, thanks for the kind comments Jason! And, yes the black box mounted on a turret up front is filled with cameras. ;-) I gotta agree with you about the Z-22 too; it is (...) (22 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)
