Yeah, I've tried to cut the throwing arms with little success. The problem
with using throwbot limbs for mechs is that they limit the size of the mech
and creativity in limb design. I wish that TLG would make brick-based
modifications on the pieces- such as a ball with axl fused to the side of a
2x1 brick and a socket fused with a 2x1 brick. I think that would put an end
to everyone having to resort to using the high-friction pin(which is tough to
remove and discontinued anyway) to build cool-looking mecha. That pin issue is
what eventually drove me to use throwbot limbs in my mecha.
