There is a fine Gundam on Brickshelf made by Josh Opotzner:

Sadly you are absolutely right. I was really hoping that I could build
Mobilesuits, be it Gundams or Evas, with regular castle and town sets just like
I build all my "space" stuff but it just doesn't work that way :( I must sat
however that K's newest Dark Gundam has been a true inspiration as it uses much
fewer pieces (a more efficient design).

One day I will probably try building a real Wing Zero which will replace the
current ZERO, however, I will not even attempt to create another 4+ footer
untill I get a job and a few additional Lego sets (sucks to be a Freshman
college student).

If I am remembering correctly the hands were very nice also. I just read the
post about the new click hinge - ball joints. The new joints look very nice
and will probably be an excellent addition to the collection for all 1-2 foot
builders. I would love to see a re-make of your Wing Gundam with the new
joints.

More mecha, more mecha, more mecha...

| (...) Like I said, these ideas were merely floating around. What about putting a lego camera in the green torso dome? Or light sensors in the eyes? Not only will they detect things, but the'll light up when you power it up :) Definitely, if it is (...) (23 years ago, 3-Apr-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)
