Hey Jeff, I bring Mecha to Willie McBrides for a couple of reasons. Since I
renovated my house and moved up North to Oakland, most if not all of my
friends live far away from me. So, I bring what ever I'm working on down to
the open mic so my buds can see what I've been up to. Plus my job often
takes up precious time and sometimes I don't go down there for weeks at a
time. My long time friend Mike aka "Pervis" runs the open mic and he is very
supportive of my Art.

He is always encouraging me to bring down whatever I'm working on. I don't
really even have to ask. I show up with Mecha and set them up for all to see.
Heck I check 'em out over a cold one too!
What's also cool about Willie McBrides is all the great talent that comes
out to preform. There are a group of regular musicians that come down each
week and form a "House" band. A loose conglomerate of different people. We
named the "House" band a funny title.
It goes like this: Remember the great band "Suicidal Tendencies" ? Well who
knows where the singer went and what he's doing now? Mike Muir was the
singer's name. So the name of the house band is "Where's Mike Muir"
These guys play Icreadible music. Kinda Jazzy and more. Then their are the
spoken word or Poetry folk. And me the Legomaster!
Now as to your question: "What do they do there?"
Well, last time they got to drink for free. And as for Bar fights, ahh,
can't talk about that, suffice to say they busted the place up pretty good
and the LB's were the last standing.
Then there is this guy who thought he could "out drink" a Little Bot.
Boy was that guy wrong!
Uh and the guy that thought he could out drink GG! Pray to the porcilen alter.

I just enjoy seeing people react to them (my Mechs)so they just kinda hang
as "vibe" art and background noise.
....and like I said, it gives some of my friends a chance to see what I'm
working on.

Never Drink and Build, drink then build.
Really, I'm not much of a drinker. My younger brother is an alchaholic, so
it's a big turn off for me. I have seen him go thru alot. Plus I have to
drive about 40 min. to get to Hoboken, I don't need a DUI.
