Hi all,
After being totally inspired by GlaGla's awesome Ingram from Patlabor, I sat
down yesterday and most of last night building, set out to create a model
with minifig arms for fingers. This is the fruit of my labors:

I feel this is the best model I've created so far. I've learned a lot from
seeing the masters of the craft create awesome bots (guys like K, Bryce,
Eric, Mladen, GlaGla, Chris Snead, and others), and I'm slowly but surely
getting better. This isn't a departure from microfig, however. This
behemoth would stand about as tall as a Gundam, I'd say. The first picture
convey's what a minifig would see if the Rainmaker were lumbering towards him.
Equipped with a handgun, forearm mounted rocket launcher, and retractable
blade, this beast is a force to be reckoned with. The dish on the left arm
is a shield generator, and on the back is an antenna sensor and the fuel pod.

| Cool Chris, very cool... I really like the articulation you put into this mecha. I have yet to master, or even begin to learn and understand, that fine "art". ;-) The weapons are neat too; that blade is positioned perfectly, a la Gundam Heavy Arms. (...) | Hey this looks swell Chris! reminds me alot of a VOTOMS mecha, nice, the missile pack on the arm is really well designed, as is the hand gun. I really like the feet too! | ahhh haa! Very cool. hey, built in a day and half a night! Your a trooper! The Mech has some nice features, while I was checking it out I noticed one of the things I like best is how you have the single slope in Between the shoulder armour. It (...) (22 years ago, 2-Apr-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)
