  Easter MOC: Mecha 002: Lucifer

FUT: lugnet.build.mecha Hi all and happy Easter! Here's my Easter MOC, it might seem a little odd but it's a LEGO Mecha made to look like Lucifer :) He's over one meter tall and, well. Here's the addie: (URL) (23 years ago, 29-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.build, lugnet.loc.se, lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)

Wow, check you out! Oh man! Geared joints too! About your gear backlash, I used a series of levers and "tendons" to limit the backlash and bolster the structure of the legs. Wow that thing is tall! 'excuse me, I gotta go look some more! Whoa, BTW (...) (23 years ago, 29-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Hokey Smokes! You know, this is exactly how he looks in my nightmares! Amazing effort-- top marks! I really like his brutish red hide-- the skeleton pix were very informative (yay Eric for good advice!) I love the head, and his... uh... "wick". And (...) (...) I'm planning a joint session where I focus at the joints and try to make them small and strong in various aspects. Hopefully I'll learn the technique behind good solid joints. And I hope narcotic cops don't read this message :) (...) Thanks, I (...) (23 years ago, 30-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Easter MOC: Mecha 002: Lucifer

(...) LOL! (...) Actually it's not much effort in there, the hardest part was making it stand :) Once I realized I did not have enough parts to pull it off I just let it flow and tried to give it some shape and red. The wick is probably too wicked (...) (23 years ago, 30-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

In lugnet.build.mecha, Tobbe Arnesson writes: (URL) sort of has an amusement park feel to it, clearly not a war machine, this mechasatan. Maybe an attraction at a religious theme park, that went horribly wrong in the conversion from blueprints to (...) (23 years ago, 30-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Easter MOC: Mecha 002: Lucifer

(...) No, it's no war machine. It could be used Kamikaze style though, if one could manage to get behind enemy lines it can fall down causing some degree of damage. Or perhaps dropped onto the headquarters by a few huge helicopters etc. :) (...) (...) (23 years ago, 30-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) months. One question: Exactly how tall is it? (Is it taller than my ZERO?) At any rate, it is a job well done! Amazing is the fact that you had enough red bricks. The head especially has a real nice touch to it, and having multiple pilots adds (...) (23 years ago, 31-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Easter MOC: Mecha 002: Lucifer

(...) 104 cm. (...) Well, I did not have enough red bricks as the whole back is uncovered and also it lacks details badly. But I like the head - yeah :) (...) Don't excpect it to be big though - also I'm taking a covard route with this model. But I (...) (23 years ago, 31-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Easter MOC: Mecha 002: Lucifer

(...) So my ZERO is still the tallest (and probably ugliest) mecha out there :) (...) Oh yeah, I know that feeling all to well. When it comes to the largest mechs details go out the window (usually, not always). On the topic, since you have an (...) (23 years ago, 1-Apr-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) Talest? Perhaps, ugliest? No. (...) It was more of an inspiration bottom out when I realized I lacked the amount of parts to make it overall nice... (...) Uhm, no :) Luficer's the first big Mecha I've ever seen or built in person so I know (...) (23 years ago, 2-Apr-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) "Inspiration bottom out", I like that and I deffinitely have had way too many of those due to simple lack of pieces. (...) And here I was hopping that you might have even a few prototypes ready ;) I hope that you will continue to build mecha (...) (23 years ago, 3-Apr-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)
