I've posted pictures of my new mecha on Brickshelf.
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=11923
Here's a quick run down for those who are curious.
Some armor attaches via magnets.
The whole mecha can kneel (I think it's a first for a model this size)
Stands about 32"
Fiber optics in the chest light up like a "spark" from Transformers.
Inspiration:
Shooting Star from Five Star Stories.
Four arms like a Shiva.
Alien Queen type head.
This was supposed to be the first mecha able to cast magic due to vastly
improved hand movements. I made little cards so it could cast spells like
Digimon or Card Whatevers. I also made a skull necklace kinda Predator
style. In the end both the cards and the necklace looked silly and didn't
make the cut.
So now she's the Cankerworm Huntress...or...Agiel of the Mord Sith Huntress
of the Wyrm. I know lame name but hey you start going silly after hours and
hours of building. Enjoy!
Bryce

| (...) The mecha design bar is raised once again. When will everyone reach there limits? How perfect can you build a mech? The gap is closing. You, like many of the other skilled bulders [not me] countinue to set the standard. Thanks for the (...) (23 years ago, 3-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

| Dang, that's cool. I love your use of the magnets for the armor. Looks good and flows nicely into the pattern of the mecha as a whole. (what? scaled/scalloped?) The legs look a bit spindly to me, but then again the mecha is rather lithe looking so (...) (23 years ago, 3-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

| Oh, man! Well, the Brickswest photos took _some_ of the mystery out of the unveiling, but took _none_ of the jaw-dropping awe-inspiring feeling away. Agiel is at once terrifying and beautiful-- like a king cobra or a super-nova. The scale, the (...) (23 years ago, 12-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)
