    The Swarm Warriors. —Mark Nelson
Greetings to one and all. Well, after a long time of nothing new (except the Drislogan section) I finaly post a MOC. Although it fits into my Mobile Armor Unit line, I consider this to be something completely differant. I give you the Swarm (...) (22 years ago, 5-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

Re: The Swarm Warriors. —Mladen Pejic
Very cool Mark! Looks like it has great mobility. The head's pretty sweet too. ;-) Hope to see more, oh, and do you have any real pics? (...) (22 years ago, 5-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: The Swarm Warriors. —Mark Nelson
(...) Thanks for the kind comments! I designed it to be as mobile as possable. To tell the truth, I'm not sure where I got the inspireation for the head, but I know the rest came from the Shrike from Hyperion and The Fall of Hyperion by Dan Simmons. (...)         Re: The Swarm Warriors. —Eric Sophie
Oh neat! the head is very cool, I like all the angle slopes! Does it take long to make that in the computer? I don't know how to do that CAD stuff. Those parts you used for the feet are cool, some of my fav parts. Good luck! Legomaster (...) (22 years ago, 5-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: The Swarm Warriors. —Mark Nelson
(...) Thanks! Aye, I especialy love those angle slopes that make it look spikey. Well, it really depends on your level of skill with the cad. I worked alot of last night and this morning and completed it this afternoon. (With school breaks, of (...) (22 years ago, 5-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: The Swarm Warriors. —Mark Sandlin
(...) Also a basic enough design that I could see you creating some cool variants for specialized missions. Cool. Grand Admiral Muffin Head -- Mark's LEGO Creations (URL) (22 years ago, 5-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: The Swarm Warriors. —Mark Nelson
(...) Wonderful! It should look mean -- because it is. Alright, you just gave me a scene idea. (...) I was actualy planning on releasing one with two LRM-2 missle packs on its shoulders instead of the two spike-pads. (...) Again, thank you. :) -- (...)         Re: The Swarm Warriors. —Christopher Snead
(...) Cool! I like the idea of having large quantities of small mecha that behave in almost a hive-like behavior. I tried mass producing an Insectoid mecha, but those darn hinges w/ the technic pins you have used are notoriously hard to come by. I (...) (22 years ago, 5-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: The Swarm Warriors. —Stuart Immonen
(...) Actually, in my area there's a discount clothing store called Winners, which has a toy section, and right now they've got loads of Arctic Base sets (set #?) for $49 CDN. You can find a bunch those joints there. WAL-MART also has discounted (...) (22 years ago, 5-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: The Swarm Warriors. —Mark Nelson
(...) I kinda got the idea for that from the Buggers in Ender's Game, and I've had it bouncing around in my mind for quite a while. Queens and workers will come next. If you kill the queens, all the workers and warriors spawned by them will sort of (...) (22 years ago, 5-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: The Swarm Warriors. —Chris Maddison
     (...) the insect-looking armor plating. That's nifty. -Chris (22 years ago, 5-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: The Swarm Warriors. —Mark Nelson
(...) Thanks! Took me a while to get a satisfactory one. At first I was going to use the one that the OMAUs have. (They're in the Exosuits section, if you want to see. It wouldn't have worked well.) Feel free to take any ideas you like. -- Mark (...) (22 years ago, 5-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: The Swarm Warriors. —Stuart Immonen
(...) Sorry. Can't help you. Don't have anything bad to say. Like the rest, I like the head and the slope plating-- just makes for a nice, smooth look. And I love the size! Just right for making a bunch, and having them fight everywhere! My one and (...) (22 years ago, 5-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: The Swarm Warriors. —Mark Nelson
(...) That, too, is good for me! (...) *Big grin* Thanks! That's kinda what I was going for -- something smooth, but with a sudden spike in differant places. I didn't want to make them to big, and I thought that the size I got was just right. (...) (...) (22 years ago, 5-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: The Swarm Warriors. —John Carroll
(...) the back and head are real nice. I like the fore arms. The feet seem alittle small in the side pics (you don't really notice in the other pics.) I can't wait to see an army of these swarming over something. John (22 years ago, 5-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: The Swarm Warriors. —Mark Nelson
(...) I'm sure that can be arranged... :) (...) Thanks! I like that head alot... A big version of it should be stuck onto the Queen. The arms, I think, really make it. Sadly, I don't have the money to buy the poor guy a new pair of shoes. J/K. (...) (22 years ago, 5-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: The Swarm Warriors. —Mark Neumann
Don't know what to say except that you've done a really good looking mecha. My first impression was, "cool! Ninja." I think the only suggestion I can add is do a hth weapon. Like a sword. Also, what might be interesting is seeing variations of color (...) (22 years ago, 6-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: The Swarm Warriors. —Mark Nelson
(...) Thanks! :) I was thinking bug/ninja/"thing" for a theme. A hand-to-hand weapon? Isn't its fist one? I suppose I could try making one for it... That was going to come next. There would be different colors depending on what Queen they belonged (...) (22 years ago, 6-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)
