    The Qwilljox —Eric Sophie
I present the Qwilljox: (URL) of many piloted Mecha the Qwilljox refers to the class of pilots in the Light Mecha system. (Pilot pix soon to follow - heh heh) I built this one to expand on some technique used to build the LBB. I Hope to add more (...) (23 years ago, 4-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

        Re: The Qwilljox —Stuart Immonen
(...) eee! (...) hanh? anyway... eeee! (...) Yahs, I see the similarities--in the feet, and wrists, although, the head is more like a scaled-back GG... I actually thought Quilljox and the LBB were much more similar in scale, until I saw the LBB (...) (23 years ago, 4-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

         Re: The Qwilljox —Eric Sophie
Thanks Stuart! It's scale is just a notch up from LBB. When I first made the legs I turned the gears until the bot crouched down and looked like it was sitting. I grabed the camera to catch it in that pose before it fell over! The head was the (...) (23 years ago, 5-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

         Re: The Qwilljox —Mladen Pejic
LOL! Great story Brian, and great mecha Eric! Dang, I really like this one dude. The hands are sooo cool, and the head is too. While it looks out of proportion I think it sorta works for this design. I like how Brian's story fits in perfectly with (...) (23 years ago, 4-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

          Re: The Qwilljox —Eric Sophie
Thanks cousin Mladen! I was hopeing to add somthing to the shoulder area to help "hide" or "tuck" the head more closer to the body. I know it seems a little big. The arms help to at least detract from is big pea pod looking head. Ya, retractable (...) (23 years ago, 5-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

         Re: The Qwilljox —Eric Sophie
Yes! YES! YES! I love it! Excellent! Now where did I put those Skeleton figs! I gotta go out behind my house or up to the Trails on the mountain and get a shot of Qwilljox from behind clawing at the lower part of a cliff face. Cool, very cool. (...)         Re: The Qwilljox —Mark Neumann
Awesome as always Eric! I love your faces. Organic and expressive. (though I thought Qwilljox could do with some teeth) (...) He is white, Have you considered giving him a bow tie like a tux and cane? Thinking of the pic when he's on his knees. (...) (23 years ago, 4-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

         Re: The Qwilljox —Eric Sophie
Thanks Mark! I can see the Mech now: "Mammmy, Mammmy, oh Mammmy......." Dude(s) the Qwilljox does have teeth! look!: (URL) so it only has two little nubs. But look it has two of those 1x1 w/clip holder in it's jaws. I kept the front of the mouth (...) (23 years ago, 5-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

        Re: The Qwilljox —John Carroll
(...) have you done anything else with a pilot. The hands are real cool. I love the thin lower torso and big upper body. I didn't liike the head until I saw this pic. (URL) I think it is casue I think the head seems a bit large. But the design (...) (23 years ago, 4-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

        Re: The Qwilljox —Christopher Snead
(...) Hey, Eric! Still churning them out, eh? ;-) I like this mecha on several different levels. It has a slim, lanky feeling to it; I can imagine that this is what GG looks like right after hatching. As it grows, its Lego hide turns Grey, and its (...)          Re: The Qwilljox —Eric Sophie
Ya, now that you say it that this is what GG would look like when it hatches is such a cool thought. According to my beloved writer; GG being only a few thousand years old, it would certainly have time to change, molt and grow into the beast known (...)      (...) think it's about time you give your mecha some teeth! Yeah, yeah, I can hear you now: "What do they need teeth for, the only thing they eat is motor oil! That and enemy mecha." :-) And K, cool backstory. I can picture the Qwilljox feverently (...) (23 years ago, 5-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

         Re: The Qwilljox —Eric Sophie
Chris Thanks! It does have two small teeth. (URL) kept the front of the mouth free of teeth because it interfeered with the mouth closing all the way. But maybe I should forego the mouth closing shut and add a couple more to the front of the jaw. (...) (23 years ago, 5-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

        Re: The Qwilljox —Geordan Hankinson
wow! And he's at it again! yeesh! This is one awesome mecha! I agree with what Brian said, it is definitely not from this planet, and looks like it could be a sort of planetary explorer type mecha. Way cool. There are neat signs of the LBB in there (...)
