I'm surprised by the severity of the color problem on that picture. Judging
from your picture you have a pretty good camera too, I don't know what would
throw it off like that.
If you have photoshop, go into the color settings and mess with the red blue
adjustment and try to get the background to a grey. If you are unable to get
it to grey try adjusting the hue and saturation in very small increments.
If you look at the link above there is mention of levels. The absolute
white dropper is just about the best tool there is for getting the
background white. You should then adjust the median adjustment on levels to
fine tune the contrast.

lighting, environment, and camera you are using.
