That's interesting. I'll bet the designer of this was probably
influenced by the same things I was in the mecha universe.

Thanks. Dark gray and red have a similar luminance or something;
they don't clash. The human eye just likes the combination.
And I tried to give the impression of thick red armor
over dark gray internal mechanisms to add realistic design depth.
