The big ol' heat dissipating vanes on its back would make it very noticeable on infrared... but Mladen never said it was a "stealth" mecha. Stealth mecha generally dont pack gobs of "ka-boom" :^) I get the impression that this is a (...) (25 years ago, 7-May-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Of course, Mark. It is intended to infiltrate a base/facility/wareho.../whatever, shoot everything in sight, and still be able to come out alive. That's why it has such a variety of weapons, lasers and SRM3 for troops/light vehicles, auto-cannon for (...) (25 years ago, 7-May-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Well, I figure that, since mecha represent a tech level higher than our own, IR technology would also be subject to that improvement. If the mecha creates the levels of heat you describe, then the dissipating vanes would still give off enough heat (...) (25 years ago, 8-May-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)
