You are excused. The emphesis on a fantastic design more than makes up for the
blurry pics.

Thanks Dave.

I was simply trying to make a reverse-kneed minifig-scale mecha.
You succeeded beautifully. This is now my favorite mecha you've built so far.
It's compact, looks positively mean, and has a pleasing shape to it.

Again, thanks.  Mean is definitely one thing I was going for.

I'm really
beginning to love the grey and tan color scheme.

That's my only problem with it. Two light colors makes the details fade a bit
too much for my tastes. The tan just doesn't work for me. Orange would make it
stand out a bit too much and dark grey isn't quite a viable color choice yet
(wait a couple of months and try it). It's too bad the battle droid parts aren't
available in more colors. I'd love to see a light grey/sand red version of
Cypher. Alternatively, a Dark grey/brown combo would be fantastic, but nearly
impossible to pull off. Still, light grey and tan isn't all that bad. :P

Yeah...I wish the battle droid parts were available in a lot more colors
too.  They're probably the most underestimated part that lego has made in
the last couple years.  But now, people are using them for lots of different
stuff; I see more every day.

As for the tan and grey, maybe if the pics were a little sharper it would
show better.  I think that the two light colors give it a bit of a "desert
combat" look.

I'd definitely like to do more with red and dark grey tho, and with the new
destroyer droids in the 2002 sets, dark grey battle droid bodies are
offered.  So maybe then.

Again, thanks for the comments Dave.
-Chris
