I think this is really what I'm getting at. I like the large heavy sturdy
quality of the Takatoku Valks. I like the fact that such an amazing piece
of engineering -was- made for kids. It might sound goofy but I would
actually take durability (and a little too much bulk) over something that is
more fragile.

Don't get me wrong, I really do like the new Valks. I think they look great
and I really respect all the hard work the company has put into them. I'm
just a little sensitive when it comes to people dissin the toys of
yesteryear. But I'm not that worked up or anything. After all we both like
the same cartoon and -more or less- the same toys for it. We could be
arguing about....
Wheeeeeeeelled Waaaaariooors!!!
(I still think this is the greatest cartoon theme song of all time)

Yep its an informative review. But actually what I really want right now is
an Alpha. :-) To this day I wonder where my blue Alpha went)
